Podcasts Archive

Thanks to the new features of WordPress I don’t need to use PodPress plugin anymore. You can check them out under the Podcast parent page in the menu across the top. I do not have an active podcast. This is an archive of a two podcasts, one I did for a now defunct science fiction convention, the other was related but not not tied to any convention. They were recored between 2006 and 2009 and are there for posterity.

I need to some additional cleanup and rearrangement of this site, but I’ve made a good start.

Podcasts

Not so long ago in a city not so far away I started two podcasts, The Conestoga Podcast and the Escape from Cubicle 17 Podcast. The former was for the now defunct Conestoga convention held in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The other was not tied to any convention, but it was more or less the same format. I would interview authors, artists, editors, and fans. In all I did 52 episodes. If you go to the Podcasts page, you’ll see more information about them.

I’m doing this because I’ll be attending LoneStarCon 3, the 2013 WorldCon, in San Antonio, Texas. Chances are I’ll run into some of the people I interviewed. As both sftulsa.org and escapefromcubicle17.com domains are now defunct, this is the only place the podcasts are preserved. I’ve restored all the Cubicle casts, but not all of the Conestoga casts, but I am working on them.

Whan That Aprill

I’m testing out a new WordPress plug-in called Audio Player. I’ve recorded a short low quality audio to see how it works. If it does work out, I’ll install it on the Conestoga Podcast. I do have plans to record a new podcast which is as of yet unnamed. Well, actually it’s a closely guarded secret. Expect it to be geek/sci-fi related. I wouldn’t go so far as to call it a fan boy podcast. It’s not that I love the sound of my own voice, though I know some who do love the sound of their own voice. I got used to listening to mine when playing back the podcasts I’ve recorded.

Listen at your own peril. [Run time is 1:55]
